My DOGS catch RATS! I've come home on two occasions to find a dead rat and a somewhat LIVE rat - both on my couch.

Greyhound and Italian Greyhound. They are all about the chase.

My last Great Dane caught rabbits. He may have had caught rats and mice too, but never new about that as he probably would have swallowed them hole.

I draw the line at brids. My cat gets a scolding if he messes with birds. Anything else gets a reward. You should see how he looks at the deer when they come into the yard to eat apples. :)

Our Daschund is a good mouser. She has killed several. She usually eats them whole. No cleanup and no mouse parts or blood. She alerts me when a mouse tries to set up a nest under my storage building.

Our cat, Sylvester would go nuts when he saw a bird outside. He'd crouch and his teeth would start chattering. However, our conure, Bob, nipped him on the nose enough when Sylvester was a kitten that he learned his place inside the house. Bob, on the otherhand, really liked to snuggle with Sylvester and try to preen his toes.

Ironic, a cat named after a bird that wants to kill birds :(

A cat named after a cat that wants to eat birds -> Sylvester + Tweety.

No pics, but my cat "Pismo", my kids found her as a ferel kitten about 13 y/o at Pismo Beach leaves a lizard, mouse, rat, or rabbit on my front doorstep every other day. Once in a while she brings a 1/2 live lizard into the house.

Sheridans, every one of them. The scoped rifle is my son's, a newly manufactured Blue Streak. The pistol in mine, dating from about 1975, and the peep sighted rifle is a '62 model year Bluestreak. I've owned it since I was a kid. I had it rebuilt by Mac1 Airguns to their "steroid" specs several years ago. It now launches 14.5 grain pellets at just over 900 fps. Any one of them is absolutely deadly on rats. The souped up one does the business on possums and raccoons as well.

I had a cat called Chalkie. One evening at about half past eight a mouse came out of a gap under a wall. I grabbed the cat and put her nose where the mouse had been and she didn't appear to register anything. Come the next night. She did nothing until about twenty minutes past eight then sat in front of the gap, sure enough the mouse came out a few minutes later and she grabbed it.

Our JRT goes nuts if she gets on the trail of a rodent... She will find the critter too. That dog is vicious with the rabbits too.
