Monkey abuse

Anyone catch the NatGeo show "My Child is a Monkey?"

Here's a link to the trailer:
Nature Untamed | My Child Is a Monkey | National Geographic Channel

The 1st five photos show this fat POS woman and her son! feeding her "children" junk food just after her vet told her their blood sugar was 4-5 times higher than the upper limits of safety, IOW, they were about to die.

They still look cute though. :D :(

This woman paid 5K for each (or so NatGeo says in another segment).

If you like animals in the least, don't watch this show. That is unless you want to see some back yard vet yanking monkeys' teeth in a bloody sequence so they can't bite humans.

Oh, and the breeders take the baby monkeys from their mothers at day 3 supposedly so the monkeys don't get any "monkey" traits. They show one mother an father that have had some 18 offspring never to have raised one.

Nice.....

Yeah, it really was disgusting. I am surprised that they don't have laws stopping this stupidity. How about when the former owners tell of all the problems they had with their "Monkid" so they had no other choice but to give away to a shelter. Like they were unaware it was a MONKEY in the first place.

Your description was warning enough. Didn't watch.

Wow, that sounds horrible. People like that need to have their face eaten off by the monkeys.

I think you're referring to the incident involving the chimpanzee. They are powerful animals for their size. I don't wish that for anyone, but I agree that there are some warped people out there.

Might as well have a show about people boinking sheep and other barnyard animals.

But, they'd have to consider the animal to be their "lover" to compare to the monkids owners.

Off the hook.

I didn't see that one, but I did see one on Chimpanzees in a series called Fatal attractions.
Their cute when young, but under the wrong circumstances they can go off on humans, with a persons face and hands being prime targets.
You probably recall a recent attack on the East Coast.

depends.

1st i loathe monkeys. and have zero problem seeing them blowtorched for some random scientific experiment. but i find this almost too cruel.

2nd i would rather the peopledoing this have a monkey than a human child.

3rd eventually the animal will snap and try to bite their eyeballs. any documentary that stops before this happens is nt telling the whole story.

Things would be much better if people would stick to cats & dogs for pets...

While living in Costa Rica I would see neighbors get baby Howler Monkeys and raise them as pets. I never understood them. You go the their house and here is this monkey with a diaper, worse than a kid, the kid will grow up. They are wild, they get big and people have to do something with them, they can't control them. You can't turn them lose, well you can but they will die or get killed by the others. we would watch tourists stand under them and take pictures, until they peed or--on them. Sometimes we would stop the car just to watch the tourists do this.
One of the good things about my tree covered house, the monkeys didn't like my trees and I only saw one monkey one time on the property. Across the street, up the valley, in my friends front yards, but never at my house. I have never been a fan of pet monkeys. They should stay in the wild.

While I do not condone being cruel to any animal, monkeys and apes should be afforded the least amount of simpatico.

Take some time and look into those critters eyes - they have the eyes of the devil! They are our natural competition and should be treated as such. Animals make for great companions, beasts of burden, great entertainment or are very tasty save the ape or monkey. Given the opportunity they would try to take over. Except for maybe Coyotes, simians should be completely eradicated.

Thanks for the heads up, I did not watch.
People should indeed stick to cat and dogs as pets. Agree 100% with that.

When stupid people can't make stupid kids, they get monkeys. It's only a matter of time before some nutter tries to marry one...
