Abdula Tabdula The Rug Merchant Strikes Again
Yep I added another Persian flying carpet to the air force. This one is a Kerman circa 1940 that is 6' by 9'. Saw its bigger Kerman brother (10 X 14) sell in New Hampshire yesterday for about $2400.00.

Here is the one that sold in NH. It is circa early 20th century and does have some wear on it.

Oriental Rugs.............
We have a Tabriz rug in the living room that is 11' x 17'. My grandmother bought it used about 60 years ago.*I think it was made in what is now Iran sometime before WWII. Here is a corner with a set of Paul Chen swords.

The colours in your rug are very vibrant and it looks like it is in very good condition. I wish I knew more about them, and I do love the feel of the wool on my bare feet.

Looking good. Are you sure that 10X14 sold for only 2400? Persian rugs hold value really well as long as they are actually Persian, thus from Iran and not machine woven.

I watched the Lot go at auction..and I hae to take the Auctioneers word for it, but I have no doubt it is an older Persian.

Damn Tabs you have all the nice stuff.
My ex took the Persian as part of the divorce settlement. We bought it together just after we got married. (1985) It cost about $3,000 AU from memory. It was the real deal "TABRIZ" from Iran. Beautiful rug in mint condition. (circa 1910 ish) I've been looking for a nice one ever since. All I can find is Turkish locally.
