Pelican Cyclists..Recommend a Good Wireless (Inexpensive) Computer

I have a temperamental Vetta RT88 wireless computer and is awful, it is a little over 8months old. It is a sporadic as a dancing tach on a failing a 911 alternator and the odo \ speed readings are always pessimistic despite my many re-calibrations and re-adjustments plus it eats batteries...today it decided that all it wanted to display was the time!!

I am sick of messing with it, I will contact Vetta's tech support and see what they say, but in case I have to cue a new wireless computer what do you guys recommend..Cat Eye, VDO?

Many Thanks!
Yasin

I have a sigma BC 1609, can't remember what I paid for it but it was not expensive. Works nicely, no in interference from other devices and quite accurate.

Cateye or Knog Nerd 9

The knog is new and has one heck of a big screen, easy to use, easy and clean to mount and the electronics are top quality.

I am very biased, I'm one of the importers the KNOG products into the States.

I was looking for the same but my LBS says there's no such thing as a great wireless comp w/cadence so I'm sticking with my tried and true Cateye.

Both my Polar and Garmin work and both are wireless and have cadence. Personally I think the on bike wireless is kind of stupid. The heart rate monitor, sure, but not the speed and cadence sensors.

If you want wireless and you want HR monitor, I think Polar is the way to go. I like my Garmin, but it is there to collect other information. I look at the Polar.

OP didn't ask for cadence.

The Knog isn't cadence equiped

Polar CS200Cad - Speed, HR & Cadence ~ Retail $189, $144 Amazon

Does the KNOG do HR?

I got a Bell from wally world for 20 bucks....

The screen is a bit small, but it works for me. I have only had it a week.

Garmin 500 with cadence/speed sensor - awesome package with built in GPS.

You can buy it without the sensor and all you miss out on is cadence as speed is picked up by the GPS.

More expensive option I know but after all this is a Porsche site!
