Enjoy!

Excellence several months ago showed the Ruf Targa in a stunning green - it was battery powered, but they indicated even then that you could get one with an engine!

I really like that!!!

porsche4life 10-18-2010 07:45 PM

Ruf is pretty much the only after market I would own...

Geronimo '74 10-18-2010 11:10 PM

Nope, don't like it. (the three quarter view from the front is especially fugly)
You would think they would be able to get the wrinkles out of the rear window...

slodave 10-18-2010 11:18 PM

It might look better with a solid rear window. Other than that, not bad.

widgeon13 10-19-2010 03:27 AM

In black it would look like Racer's Burt R. Trans Am, it's not my favorite Ruf car and for $275,000?? I won't be getting one soon.

DAE, you are referring to the "Greenster"...Here are some pics of it we snapped in Pfaffenhausen a few years ago:

I'm with you.

its a good looking car, but I wouldn't be willing to pay the price for a new one!

daepp 10-19-2010 10:55 AM

Yep - that's the one. I think it looks great - a modern interpretation of the great SWT!

Awkward.

It seems to me that most Targas have black bars. I know it started with the brushed SS. But it would be better with black and still be plenty retro since Targas ceased to be made in the 80's.

That car also needs the new factory 19' "Fuchs."

daepp 10-19-2010 02:06 PM

I love those new Fuchs in Excellence. I agree they would look great on this car!

dad911 10-19-2010 02:28 PM

Pricing starts at $272,356...... no thanks!

scottmandue 10-19-2010 03:13 PM

Nice...

But I think I would pick up a new GT3 or turbo S and pocket the $100K

RUF is prolly going to want to use RUF wheels, not Fuchs...

Agree that a Satin Black Targa Bar would look better.

Doesn't mean that's the best look. Maybe RUF should design some "Fuchs."

scottmandue 10-19-2010 04:37 PM

Yeah but will it do 167mph?

kach22i 10-19-2010 05:37 PM

It looks so much better in green.

sscates 10-19-2010 05:55 PM

Reminds me of one of those new vettes they retrofit to make it look like a 53' model. Fugly! One of those things you'd want your neighbor to own so you could go over, drink a beer and wonder what they were thinking outloud, then go home.
