Operation Repo--911 crushed
Anyone catch the episode tonight where the car owner's brother crushed a nice SC/Carrera with a freakin' monster truck?
It appears to be in CA at a county/state fair. The car looks to be be Prussian or Baltic Blue. Anyone know the owner? |
"Operation Repo" is not reality, it's a "scripted reality" show, so It's likely the car was a junk car.

They don't build those things anymore. Same with a Porsche, which always has recyclable parts. |
99% of television has gotten so stupid as to be unwatchable. Right in the spirit of "Oh my balls" - that's the level of quality of most programming. One reason why I'm probably dumping subscription and going to a 100% pay-per-view format (see the Apple TV thread). That way I can get the 1% that's worth seeing without stupid nonsense like this.
Must be nice to be a TV producer. Makes some juvenile innuendos, sprinkle in some big explosions and some violence, and voila! Hollywood. Pfft. |
Oh, I agree that it is made for tv but they still destroyed what looked like a perfectly good 911.
I was curious if anyone here knew somebody connected with the show. |

If I could only get Nat Geo and the Military Channel, I would more then content.
|
NatGeo and all the military channels (plus a little TCM) is all I watch
|
Lumberg's 911 from Office Space was actually pretty crappy.
Same with the car on one of those sitcoms... Dharma & Greg IIRC? Or how about the 911 in Death Race? Mid year junker as well. |
One way to look at it is evey time they destroy a 911, ours become a little more rare.
|
Speedvision, The History Channel, HDTheatre, that would probably be enough for me.
|
I have cable for:
Discovery, Speed, Nat Geo, Science, Military, BBC America (Top Gear!) and Sci-Fi. The rest is for HD football & local news. |
