Cribbage

I've been feeling a bit peaked the last few days, working from home.

Looking for some mental chewing gum, I found an online version of a card game I love, Cribbage. I've played it most of my life.

My post count is going to go down like the housing market:) For you Cribbage players, enjoy:

David,

All is well, thanks. I should be able to go get it in November.

Denis is doing a great job, but parts sourcing, doing it right, has been slower than we both anticipated. I can tell you that mechanically the car is going to be just as nice as it gets.

The good part is there is no rush.

15:2, 15:4 and a run = 7:cool:

I beat Jake by 33.
When I bought the pawn shop I 'inherited' a few card players who hung out there. Their main game was Casino but the last two of the day played cribbage. I was familiar with the game as a kid but before long figured out how to raise my game a bit. Your choice of cards to play get pretty mechanical after a while, a little different for the end game.
But like all good card games, a mixture of luck and stradegy is required.

I am not even going to look. The interaction with your opponent is the crux of my desire to play cards.

My grandmother taught me to play when I was maybe 8 years old. She let me win the first time. Never beat her again, not once. She was pretty ruthless at bridge too. I bet she could have won a fortune playing poker, but she was opposed to gambling.

And to think that back in Dec at the Army/Navy game you didn't go and if I would have known that you are a cribbage buff, well, I would have hunted you down so I could teach you what Patty shot at.

Seriously, this was the game I played my Dad forever until he passed away, I still have the cribbage board I made for him at home.

Out here in PNW cribbage has gone the way of sheepshead or is that what Patty shot at??
