probably for more than 3000sq ft of house.

i spent about $3000 redoing my ac this year. 1.5ton unit, a coil, furnace, lineset, refrigerant, new ducting, vents. for a 1300sq ft with vaulted ceiling. the old system was installed into the concrete slab and started rotting out and accumulating ground water (yech!)

Next 6 months, will be over $250,000...

The economy (national and local) and the Federal government is getting a nice boost from my check book.

Talewinds, our nextdoor neighbor here in far north side of Charlotte (Huntersville) replaced both the up and down American Standard units(including the 2 air handlers, 2 gas furnaces, etc) for a total cost of just over $18,000. So it is likely that the $9,000. included the entire circuit of that system.

That's the way to go. We've had a lot of expenses but I've been working hard to save up for them and go cash only.

LOL; I thought the same except I was wondering how anyone could live on only $14,000/month?
