i had one years ago. came SO close to putting a wide body Sheridan kit on it, but ended up selling it and getting another 911.

Moses 10-20-2010 06:09 PM

Looks GREAT! No worries about grip. What size tires?

Brando 10-20-2010 06:12 PM

Looks awesome - let's see some engine shots!

trekkor 10-20-2010 06:27 PM

Tires are 8" wide in the front and 11" wide in the back.

So THAT'S what a 914 looks like when it's moving . . .

onewhippedpuppy 10-20-2010 06:42 PM

That's just bad ass.

R K T 10-20-2010 06:55 PM

Looks like FUN! I had a ball with mine....very early 70 six.

What did you do?

Please forgive my ignorance, but it seems like I've been seeing the photo of this car as your avatar since I've been here.

*leans in real close to eyeball the avatar closely*

Is it the flares?

That was my initial thought too :)

red-beard 10-21-2010 03:57 AM

My early 6 is in Germany... :(

I don't miss the CO, though

David McLaughlin 10-21-2010 04:13 AM

Nice flares! I've been thinking about adding either glass ofr metal flares to my six too.

M.D. Holloway 10-21-2010 06:21 AM

Wow! KT thats amazing looking!!! Well done.

trekkor 10-21-2010 08:49 AM

Yep, I added flares. Riveted on with white edge molding.

Also, the 13" wheels and fatty slicks.

This isn't new, but if you look close the sail panels are white vinyl, not paint.

I drove it for about two minutes on Monday.
My next track day is on the 5th at Infineon Raceway.
I hope to have it ready for the road course.

Watch for in car footage!

Ever since the first pic I saw of the 934, riveted-on flares have given me ... uh, well, I like them a lot. :D

Sweet teener. Looking forward to your in-car vid!

MJHanna 10-21-2010 09:22 AM

Give it a little more time and it will loose it's roof:Dhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1287681757.jpg

trekkor 10-21-2010 10:30 AM

enzo1 10-21-2010 11:26 AM

cool!!!

RWebb 10-21-2010 03:26 PM

a 6 makes those into rocket sleds

I like the wheels too, trek!

trekkor 10-21-2010 04:58 PM

Thanks.
The wheels were custom made and not expensive.

In the words of the great Peter Griffin, "flippin sweet". A fat fendered flat 6 914 is definately on my automotive bucket list

sammyg2 10-22-2010 06:25 AM

The tires are bald.
It's a shame you can't turbocharge one of those things.

At the track. Good test day. Matched a personal best lap time on street pads and going easy.
