Deetroit 1...8...7
I got a headache watching that show...with all the fancy schmancy camera work...they are trying tooo hard to be hip.. and the muszak pbbbbt...
The story line was not that bad. reminiscent of Law and Order...which makes me think they are a wannabe L&O show...cashin on that successful franchise. The only thing interesting was the Detroit local... We need that show to turn to the darkside...some city & police corruption...where the bad guys get away with it...a battel between good and evil in the force would not be a bad idea.

How bout an episode where a cop gets whacked...when digging into the guys background we find that he is tipping off drug dealers as to when the cops are gona make a raid...and in the end we find that the good cops whacked him for being a snitch to the bad guys...
The blind alley in the story is that at first it seems the drug dealers whacked the guy. Somebody owes me for this one....

I'm not interested in writing scripts...But I wouldn't mind coming up with Plot lines which can be developed into scripts...surely that has to be worth a Ferrari or two in Hollywood.

Everyone can write scripts until they try.

We like shooting in Detroit. It's like the biggest backlot in the USA. We can do just about anything we want. Car chase in the middle of the day on a weekday? No problem! Can we put some flame bars in the windows of that abandoned house to look like its burning? "No problem, burn it to the ground if you want to!". Detroit is very, very friendly to us. The support from the City in terms of having one point of contact for all permits for police, fire, public works is like it used to be in Los Angeles.
Watch another episode or three. We change Directors most episodes to keep it fresh. As I go back there (waiting to see if they get picked up for the back 9 episodes for the season as we wait), I'll take some more pics. It was a beautiful city and its sad what has become of it. BUT what amazed me is with all the closed/burned out/abandoned/boarded up buildings the city is amazingly clean in terms of there being no trash on the streets, no burned out cars. Its sort of like walking (driving actually) through an ancient civilization like Pompeii, you see lots of old relic buildings, but not a lot of trash/litter. Ten or twenty miles outside of the city limits its quite beautiful countryside. If you haven't seen the other thread that I started on Detroit, click here Detroit has Died, but it hasn't fallen over yet
