I was walking thru Walgreens yesterday and they had Sam Adam's Oktoberfest on clearance for $4.64 a six pack. Can't beat a deal like that..

I must say that I actually can't stand Sam Adam's, I know unAmerican, right? Well they got this one right. It may just be that I am a sucker for Oktoberfest beers though. I really enjoy St. Arnolds christmas ale. Even though it rocks my socks off. Well the evening is here and it's time to do some partying. Be safe guys, peace. |

We were in Lexington KY last weekend for the horse races at Keenland. Discovered a new beer on our trip. Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. Local craft beer aged 6 weeks in spent bourbon barrels. We brought home a case.

The best cheap rum I have tasted. Thankfully always available locally. Their 15 year old is sublime but the 5 year is my daily & it is $1 more than the Captain & so so much better. On ice with a splash of Coke. The Coke is the slightly sweeter Canadian version of the real thing. No Diet crap allowed. Ian |

I started with a Merry Monks Belgian, then had a bottle of my first batch of homebrew, a Nut Brown Ale. Flat as a pool table, and mediocre flavor. Blech. :(
