what transaxle are you going to use? I remember the crown mid v8 kits from the 70's; they used a reverse rotation cam on the motor and turned the corvair trans around.
looks like your set up reduces the seat travel and back angles? Saw a cool pair of work in progress mid 8 'vairs at woodley park here last month. they had a lot of neat construction details. too bad i did not take pics thanks for sharing
