Attempted home invasion and brazen threats like that and they LET THEM GO? I would definitely find myself a good psychologist to identify the irreperable trauma you've experienced and a lawyer.

He didn't see any of them driving and they said the guy who was driving had already left so no DUI.
They said they were just having some fun, like playing ding-dong-ditch. BS.
Evidently the officer said something like "homeowner is a big guy who looks like he can take care of himself" and "I didn't see them as being a threat to the homeowner."
Oh, and they have their names and addresses if they cause any more trouble.
