rezoning to a worser school

we are being rezoned into a performance improvement school from a distinguished school. there is an overcrowding issue at Don Callejon so there is a push for rezoning. one group really does not want to portables to accomodate the growth and they seem to have a lot of influence with the principal and the board. anyone knows what we can do to make the board decide on not rezoning us out of the distinguished school? our housing price will definite plummet even more if this goes through.
