Baby will soon be here! Good cigar website? Cigar recommendations?

We are about to have a baby and would like to purchase cigars to pass out to those who partake.

What cigar website would you recommend?

What brand would you purchase which would be an easy smoker for folks who are not hardcore cigar aficionados?

Price point $5 - $10 a piece.

First, congrats!
Second, do you not have anything local?
Thompsoncigar.com has good pricing but poor shipping standards in my experience.
If you go with them, I think they've still got boxes of gurkha special edition in a connecticut wrapper for $125. The box is 25 sticks and if they have em, it comes with 5 gurkha cognac infused. The SE is a pretty smooth cigar and oin the connecticut wrapper, no one should have any problems.

I normally buy from "Cigars international" and would recommend the Arturo Fuente brevas but they are sold out at that website...however.

Arturo Fuente Brevas (It's A Boy) Cigars - Natural Box of 25

They have them in "it's a girl" too.

For a good middle of the road smoke I like the Hoyo de Monterrey...

A box of churchills won't break the bank.

Dude, I know you're a new parent but you can't give infants cigars.

Kids, yes - infants, no.

Just sayin...

If you want it to say "It's a Boy" or "It's a Girl" then get the Arturo Fuente Brevas (long filler, more expensive) or Arturo Fuente Curly Head Deluxe (short filler, less expensive) from JRCigar, Thompson, Famous smoke shop, Lil Brown Smoke Shack etc.

If the "It's a Boy/Girl" thing doesn't matter, I would recommend the Macanudo Portofino ($104 for 25 from JR) for the following reasons:
-Macanudo is one of the most popular premium brands in the US, so people with only a passing familiarity with cigars will recognize it as a nice brand
-Macanudos are very mild, so even non smokers might enjoy them
-The portofino comes individually packaged in aluminum tubes. You know the majority of these cigars are going to end up in someone's desk until the next New Years or whatever; this way they have a chance of surviving in relatively good shape vs turning into dust.

Congrats!

JRCigar is good.

IMO, stay away from Thompson Cigar! They will call, email, and snail mail you forever! Just when I think that they are done, the calls start again and I have to talk to every supervisor there for it to stop. I never wanted to order from them again just on principle.

I have to agree with the Arturo Fuente Brevas (It's a boy or it's a girl).
For the price (Approx. $2.50 each) You will get a bit smaller than a lonsdale cigar
that is half decent. You can usually purchase these at a local cigar shop.
Congrats on the baby!!!

Update:

I purchased a box of Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Magnum 50s. I have yet to sample a cigar but will have the chance tomorrow.

Now the good news! We had a beautiful baby girl last Monday, 11/1/10 at 1:00 PM. Mama and baby are happy and healthy.

Call Appleton Souvenir and Cigar up north from you. Was on business in Appleton about 7-8 years ago and stumbled onto this place. Great little shop, very helpful, even set us up in his back room complete with overstuffed leather chairs, bigscreen and a bottle of our favorite beverage. Not being in the beverage business, the drinks were free, just tipped him handsomly for the great service. Always like to help businesses like this out. Service like the good ole days!!! Call him and pass on the story.

I think he suggested Cusanos if I am not mistaken. About your pricepoint, mild, fresh, and pretty enjoyable for the money.
