This stuff works ! They also have a toothpaste. |
For sure food stuck between your teeth causes bad breath.
Brushing isn't enough. Flossing is the only way to remove food between your teeth. |
A shot of 80 proof before bedtime will fix it.

Diet has a lot to do with it and hydration as well.

8 years later... Is it just me or do more people have bad breath now?
Like "punch you in the face rank bad breath". Really awful and they're mostly non smokers. A smokers breath is predictably bad but you know what to expect. I quit smoking about 4 years ago and my sense of smell is better than it was but this is ridiculous. Just today I was sitting with a client and when he spoke there it was. Right in your face rank bad breath and I had to turn away to stop smelling it. There's another "lady" client who smells like garbage and poo mixed together. I don't even let her get close to me. And a guy on another site who truly stinks. He's married so doesn't his wife say anything about it? Here's another classic example. A very attractive lady who smells like left over minge juice, stale makeup, BO and you guessed it horrible breath. I can't even sit next to her! There must be something going on! Fast food and no exercise? I was a nurse years ago so I really don't think I'm being overly sensitive. |
Add a few drops hydrogen peroxide to your half-mouthful of water and brush your teeth over the sink.
The head must be downward, or you'll start puking like there no tomorrow. It is an effective surfacant. Do the apple cider vinegar thing. (thx kach) Couple teaspoons in a big glass of water like apple cola chug it down. That will help cleanse the bacterial buildup in the esophagus/stomach/upper GI. You'll also get hydrated and clean the liver kidneys at the same time. |

VSC's (volatle sulfur compounds) are the main issue. Chlorine dioxide rinses have worked the best in my experience. Closys is the main brand name in the USA for this. (Signed your resident PPOT periodontist) |

I'm with sammyg2 on these. Been using them for years and am addicted to using them after I eat anything. The "Doctor's" brand seems to be the best. Also being older, I felt like my mouth would dry out during the nights and days. So I started using Biotene brand mouth wash mornings and nights. Supposed to hydrate your mouth, and I've had positive results in terms of how my mouth feels & my breath has freshened up so as to not make me feel I'm offending too many people. I get the big bottles from Costco behind the pharmacy counter for two bucks less than at Walmart. |

Google them for images. And if you flush one free from your tonsils, squish it between your fingers and give it a sniff. You’ll be an immediate believer. |
Noooooo to squishing and sniffing!
