another Dead Battery!

Took my wife and MIL to the airport yesterday so my wife could take her to FL, MIL is 90 and lives by herself. She gets down there and the battery on MIL's car is stone dead, seems to happen every year or two. She (MIL) probably buys cheap battery but also taken to the cleaners on the price since she doesn't negotiate and they just screw her. Last year it was the transmission, previous year when I was there, she had an electrical problem in the condo. If you touched the sink and stove at the same time you got a good shock. Turns out some asshat electrician came in and used aluminum wire with copper and the aluminum melted and shorted out. MIL could easily have gotten fried just washing the dishes.

Pisses me off that so many jerks screw the elderly. I'm getting older and will be in that category sooner than I want to think but seems it's getting worse.

Well, some good news. Just got a call from my wife, the battery was replaced, no charge. It was only a year old. She's going to have material for book before this is over.

Probably a good thing I'm not there. When my wife is pissed you want to be in another state. At least she's not pissed at me.
