Hear that sound, OU? That's the sound of losing.
I try not to associate myself with anything Missouri anymore, but I admit I feel good right now...

KRAP! This makes Oregon #1...BCS.
(edit) One weird stat....#1 has lost every week for the past 3 weeks. Can it happen a 4th time? Oregon plays bowl ineligible USC next weekend.

"March around the columns..."
It was cool when they showed the short clip of the homecoming parade w/ the '59-'60 Orange Bowl guys on a float. My dad (RIP) played center and LB and Co-captained that squad with Mike Majak.

will find out today.
Oregon probably will have needed to have beat an opponent of the quality of LSU to get #1 in the BCS. Has been rough sledding for #1 teams this year so far, though! It does show the differences in schedules. These #1 teams aren't losing to patsies. Makes for interesting debate re teams that don't play many tough teams, like Boise State and to a little lesser extent Oregon this year. |

They are the best conditioned team in college football. They are small and fast. They take advantage of the college rule that says if the offense does not substitute the defense is not allowed time for substitution. They run the fastest no huddle offense ever seen. In practice, they run 50 plays in 10 minutes. No one can run with theses guys. The only way to beat the Ducks is to fake injuries like Stanford did to try to slow them down (it failed), or have an Umpire who delays putting the ball in play allowing the defense time to substitute. That happened in the Rose Bowl last year against Ohio State and coach Kelly filed a complaint. Pac 10 Umpires know the Oregon pace and put the ball in play fast. If you let the Ducks play at the pace they want, they are hard to beat. It's a completely different game the way they play it. “The NFL scouts on the sideline, the first time they come and watch practice, they're like, ‘What the heck is this?'” Costa said. “They're mesmerized by it. There's nothing like it.” Oregon works on its prolific spread offense at full speed | | The Bulletin

Most are predicting AU will be BCS #1. Don't want that target on our backs- I'd rather earn it through 12 games than having it this early in the season. Sitting through the game yesterday makes me think that CN will be a lock for the Heisman if he keeps himself healthy through our 4 more trials. Didn't leave J-H for nearly an hour after the final whistle.

They won't play anybody until January, so yeah, they go undefeated until then.

I agree they are an exciting team. I don't think they'll win the NC this year though. |

It's official. Auburn is now the head duck in the shooting gallery. With any luck the players won't read into all the clippings . . . kinda hard to ask that of 18-20 year old kids . . .

Sometimes they get a little loose in NASCAR then end up losing the race.

Oregon barely squeaks out a win over a mediocre team today.
10-0, but I still think no NC for Oregon. They beat a bunch of nobodies. If they were in the SEC, they'd have many losses by now, IMO. When they finally have to play a real team, they will get pounded. |

OR is good, I still like TCU. They haven't seen the schedule OR has but they would be a great match up!
