Woohoooo!

I am officially a student! Received my acceptance letter from the college today and will start in August 2011. Going to Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC. Will be doing an associates degree in gunsmithing (applied sciences).

Now we just need to sell the house in Ohio and move to NC!

Great news and gunsmithing too. Study hard, I have a feeling it will be a trade that will be in high demand!

Good for you! No one ever regretted getting an education. How long you been out of school? Things have changed. You can wear PJs to class!

Never went to school in the US with the exception for work training. The last time I officially attended a college was in 1988 when I was still living in South Africa. Not only were those classes not applicable (in electronics) but the credits I earned expire after 3or 4 years.

Interesting side story: My original high school diploma is not in English and there is not really such a thing as transcripts over there. I requested an English copy of my high school diploma in February. Still waiting for it. Decided to just do the GED test, which I passed without any real study or revision (took a few test exams). My marks were 3650/4000 for the test.

Since the school has it's own 100yrd range, I will start the zombie studies right there.
