another fun attempt would have been to throw the car on it's side, then use Thermite to burn out the bolt

I like some of the suggestions to loosen the other bolts then drive it until it breaks

If only they made a tool that could take material out of a small circle. Then you could um, like ream out the center of the bolt or something.
Or some kind of tool that would like reach in to the hole that's already there, to like extract it or something. Nahh, SAWSALL. Better smoke a doob before we get started. Then we can focus. |

So this is one of his lug bolts. ![]() Who thinks that he wasn't using a triple square, but was trying to use a torx or allen wrench?

nah, that's easy, he'll get those out with really low octane fuel, retard the ignition about 10 degrees and they'll pop right out when detonation kicks in...

I had a similar problem when I was at Many944s place two years ago.
Our solution? We took a slightly smaller impact socket and hammered it on the damaged lug nut, then used a breaker bar on a socket to get it off. Now in this case, this kid is dealing with wheels bolts instead of lug nuts, but I can still think of a few ways to get it off without damaging the wheel. For the sake of argument, I will assume that the easy-out was used properly and really didn't work. He still could have drilled many, very small holes into the cap of the wheel bolt and around the threaded portion. Hopefully he would eventually be able to just take the cap off the bolt and the wheel would come off. Then he could use vice grips to remove the remaining stud.

Most of the "do something stupid" threads, I can say I might actually do that or have done something just as dumb. Not this one. Good lord.
