Streamlight spoon light or what?
Looking to buy a light for a spoon. Streamlight seems to be a household name...what else is out there that's good?
Midway has a TLR-1 for $95. Good? |
Depends on the spoon and how you're mounting the light. I bought a Surefire G2 LED (around $52) and some cheapo pressure switch for my under-the-bed shotgun. I use a hair rubber band to hold the pressure switch to the foregrip.

TLR-1? i assume a handgun. i like that one. i just recently got a streamlight flashlight. it is tiny and runs on one CR123 battery. brutally bright! the TLR uses two. this tells me there must be a smaller spoon mounted one out there.

PS Souk. As you may already know, Midway is usually a rip-off. They will screw you big time on inflated shipping prices.... especially when it comes to haz fees on primers/powder etc. I ABSOLUTELY refuse to ever puchase from them again. There are plenty of decent internet spoon suppliers that have better pricing and shipping rates compared to Midway. Cheaperthandirt.com Outdoor Bunker - Hunting, Shooting, and Outdoor Gear (free shipping on $100+ orders) budsgunshop.com (often the best "new" gun prices) |
Actually, Tim, I just bought a CZ P01 Phantom from Buds. They had the best price I could find because of a "summer clearance.". I will see if they have a TLR1 instock for this pistol.
For cheap light - I bought a Coleman light that uses two CR123 batteries for $24 and then bought a rail mount for it. Works well for the price on long guns. But I need on that works on the new Phantom. |
