Just finished watching the American Music Awards. IMO, 90% of it is absolute drivel ie all show and no go. 'American Performance Awards' would perhaps be a more suitable name.

Ultimately, you should have know better. You could have easily switched to CSI at 10, so I feel no sympathy.

But the night was grim on the tube.

I don't know of any current music that is worth listening to, perhaps that's because I don't spend any time trying to find current musicians, vocal or instrumentals. I have sat radio and prefer listening to 60's music or ipod when on a plane or train.

I certainly wouldn't listen to a music awards program as they are more stage extravaganza's for viewing rather than listening. I'd be open to recommendations but I think the days of great Broadway musicals or stage performances is over. But then I lead a pretty sheltered life.

I watched the "dog killer" beat Eli, "the fumbler".
