Camera Guys. Need Help.
I have a small Ricoh GR digital camera (not the GR II or III).
I cannot find the disks that came with the cameras and I find Ricoh's site very confusing and their support lacking. (I have a string of emails that I am forwarding at every opportunity from support people at Ricoh while looking for support) I remember that their software made my old computer crash at regular intervals while trying to get the images off the camera and into a usable format to work with. I am trying to find the drivers to allow my computer to recognize this camera and I may not be interpreting this correctly but it looks like I need to install a program before I install the drivers? Anyone have any experience with these or can anyone interpret the Ricoh site to tell me what I need to run this on a laptop that utilizes Vista? Thanks in advance. |
my experience, limited, has been that newer and better camera software often includes the older stuff, so i just download the newer versions and it works.
good luck. did you check yahoogroups for your camera? |
What is the storage medium? CF or SD card or is it internal/non removable?
If CF or SD you can always get a reader. Your PC may already have one built in. Can the camera be put into a disc/PC mode? You may get it to show up as a disc drive and just pull the files that way. |
Yeah, what monkeyboy said....pull the media card.

With the Logitec, the solution was to uninstall the vendor software and let Windows handle it.
Same with the Cannon camera. Could there be a problem with the connector, and/or will other comuters recognize it? |
