Outlook 2007 Calendar Click Crash
I run Outlook 2007 (Office 2007) under Win 7, 6gb of Ram, ...
Starting 2 days ago, when I click to try to access the calendar the program hangs/crashes. I can only restart outlook by using the "/resettodobar" switch which allows me to access the calendar once only. Ideas for a permanent repair (apart from changing to an apple ;) )??? SmileWavy |
Try:
Outlook /cleanviews |

You can try to search and delete - though I'd rename the extension to "old"....
Frmcache.dat and search for all "ost" files and delete them - or rename all the extensions. |
SmileWavy SmileWavy :) fixed it!
Can't find some of my old email from a hotmail type account but I'll figure that part out (from the ".old" file). THANKS MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
It's odd that you can't find those emails. As far as I know, the above steps should not have wiped those out. Anyway, that's why I don't like to delete files, renaming the extension is a far better option and gives you the opportunity to put things back as they were.

Dave,
It took approx 10 minutes and everything is back up and running. Thanks again mate ! |
sad to report that, problem is back and wont go away.... :(
it has to do with the task bar. I'm starting as outlook /resettodobar and have renames ost's and deleted frmcache. Not working. Frustrating as hell...... |
Fly me to Florida?
|
you mean Santiago Chile (currently......)
|
Even better! I'll get the passport out.
|
Should I bring my shorts?
|
and a light jacket ;)
Cold evenings and very nice days.....! |
Dave,
I just found a solution for the problem. Don't pack your bags just yet ;) sorry Steps to fix are: |
- on the To do Bar, choose prior date (can't be today) - that opens the calendar
-go to "view", : daily task: and choose "off" problem solved (for now) |
I'll keep a suitcase and pair of shorts by the door...
Glad you found another solution. I hope it works. |
