Anyone know the font used for the 997 turbo (for the word turbo).

We are getting a plaque made for our parting local PCA President and I wanted to get part of this int the turbo font (Turbo Fred).

Anyone know what font is used and if this is a special Porsche font, does anyone know how I can download it.

Thanks, in advance...........Vern

I believe he is looking for the model-specific font, as used on the rear-deck badges. The wide block-letter font has been out there on the interwebs (in several variations) for a while. However it would seem Porsche has a good lock-down on their model-specific fonts.

What do you mean by model specific?
I was talking about the font used for the carrera script and turbo on the rear decklid of a 911 or 964. That font is certainly out there, I've looked for it and found it.
I'm not talking about the capital lettrr font, like theolder side decals.
I'm not sure which font you mean by model specfic.

Here are a few commonly available fonts that may suffice:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1291324493.jpg

1. Arial Rounded MT
2. Antigoni Med
3. Eras Demi ITC
4. Lucinda Handwriting
5. Calibri

(All Bold & Itallic)

Yep, that is the script font I was referring to. I haven't found any sources for it online. If you have, please forward a link!!!

No, that's the block font (and not even the best variant out there)

Geronimo '74 12-02-2010 12:25 PM

I'm not sure where I found it, it was some time back. Installed it on an old laptop. I seem to remember it did not have capital letters, only small letters. When I find it I'll post it.

Hey, how about MikeZ?? Joe Bob here on Pelican? (no bad day graphics)
Maybe he has it.

Been looking but can't find it.
Starting to think I'm confusing the Carrera font with the Porsche font myself.
I'll check my old laptop tomorrow.

I will probably find a font that is similar. I'm looking for this font that is used to spell Turbo:

Yeah, still no joy on the font (above links included). Here are a couple more pics of the turbo badge/script for reference. I have high-res versions of both if needed:

Yeah, if you read the posts in the link. This Dutch guy has the font, Jeroen is his name.
Post are old so I don't know if his email is still valid.
Sorry I wasn't more precise, guess I was lazy... :)
