Seems to me there was a discussion about reaching proper torque with a steady motion of force until the torque wrench hit it's value. Would a 236 lb person standing 1 foot from the center of the socket be suspect as opposed to some of the other suggestions involving factoring the load with extended leverage?
I know I would somehow "feel" more comfortable with a 3 foot bar using the correct measured load.
I think I'm going to make a stirrup out of some chain and hook it up at various distances along the shaft of my torque wrench and observe any fluctuations of accuracy from 1 foot to 3 feet changing the load accordingly.
Shouldn't make any difference in theory.
Totally in agreement about removing one of these high torque nuts. I've been seen jumping on a six foot cheater to remove an axle nut.
