Is that the one where the writer hides his car while being chased and ends up being a "captive" of an aging Hollywood star? Interesting story, almost Rod Serling.

Yeah Milt, that's it. William Holden is the writer, Gloria Swanson is the crazy movie star, Erich von Stroheim, Jack Webb; CB DeMille, Hedda Hopper, Buster Keaton et al in cameos.
Tough to miss with Billy Wilder flick, can't think of one that was not pretty good to freakin' great.
