Nice video. But will the "wasserboxer" actually exceed 60,000 miles before one of its head gaskets blows?

There is a GREAT kit that allows you to remove this disgusting, worthless pushrod engine and replace it with a 14 times better VW EA827 2.0 SOHC inline four unit that makes MORE power, uses LESS fuel, and if you have to take it apart before 300,000 miles then you aren't maintaining it!

My sig-other just leased a 2011 CC, and while in the Volkswagen shop, I checked out a Routan. While it has Chrysler roots...that is actually a nice vehicle.
Folks, I like minivans, you can start the crap right now, I don't care. And Volkswgen has done a GREAT job disguising the simple Chrysler product. The interior has the same good quality as the CC and the GTI and the rest of their cars. The third row of seats fold into the floor electically- I have a '97 Ford Aerostar, and when we take the twice yearly trip to Key West, about 4 hours away, I have to remove both sets of seats, one of which is 50 pounds, the other is 70 pounds, so we can put our bicycles inside. I don't have the strongest back muscles in the world, so this is always a problem. That electric operation got 100% of my attention!

Problem: The sticker price of the Routan was $41,000....about four times what I paid for my 928 11 years ago! Hello?

I have ~180k miles on mine (a 23y/o) w/o head issues. If the coolant is maintained there should be no issue.

The inline-4 isn't so good in that they don't lay flat enough. (ground clearance)
