So he has been making slingshots since 1952?

That is pretty impressive. I am a decent shot with a wrist rocket, or was anyway, but never anything like that.

I'm suprised I don't have a Rufus in my customer database. Looks like a red-blooded American to me.

Good story. I remember my old wrist rocket from the early 70's. I could barely hit the broad side of a barn.

My grandfather was exceptional with a sling shot. He also grew up poor, on a farm; one of twelve. He made them himself; some traditional and some just a single stick.
He and I would often go squirrel hunting and I saw him take many while they were running up the tree.
I miss him..............

Many years ago, my father was a bricklayer. A regular hard hat. One time, during lunch break the guys were sitting around eating and a huge rat scurried at a dead run along the opposite wall of the building. Dad, with sandwich in one hand, he picked up his hammer with the other and whipped that thing sliding it across the floor for a bullseye. That rat never knew what hit him. My dad would do stuff like that every once in awhile. He'd out of the blue say I bet I could blah blah blah and more often than not do it!

if you asked me when i was 10 or 11, i would have said I was the best slingshot shooter EVER.

mom in her infinite wisdom bought her boys wrist rockets. we could hit birds with harden dirt clods across the yard. i zapped my first cottontail with that thing.

they mysteriously disappeared. my mom said, "last i saw, you left them in the front yard"...hmm, suspicious!

man!! that man kicks butt!!! he is getting crazy velocities! i wonder what he could do with a pistol?
