Looking forward to some time off.

After tomorrow I have until the new year off from work. I can't really afford it, but I am really looking forward to some down time. I have two books lined up to read. I'm also going to go kidnap my mom and bring her here to spend a few days. :D Lots of Scrabble games, good food, good vino, m o r e food...,and great quality time with my family to look forward to.

Happy holidays to all of my fellow Pelicans!

Happy Holidays. I've got a meeting at 10AM tomorrow with Cal/OSHA on a citation, then I'm off until 1/4/11.

Me too, we are heading to Disney the 2nd week of Jan. I really need some down time with the family. Best time of year to make some good family memories. Enjoy it while you can!
Happy Holidays

Sigh. I have Friday off. Then no holidays because New Year is on the weekend. I'll stay home a couple of days but nothing more. Just sit at the desk staring at stocks doing the weird end-of-year thing.

Enjoy the time off.

I took time off to have a 5 day weekend. Oldest is home from tech school for 2 weeks. Been great having him back and seeing him take his sister and brother out and spending time with them as well. I think his sister misses him more than any of us.

My office is on christmas shutdown again this year but I don't mind. We have been so busy that I need the time off and since i didn't use my vacation time I don't lose any pay. Merry Christmas to all youse guys!!!

I've been on vacation since Monday. And then I went to work for a few hours on Tuesday and Wednesday.

What really bothers me is that 90% of the machine shop I work at is off for the rest of the year. Doesn't seem like good business to me, but my boss wants to be everyone's friend and lets it happen year after year.

Thanks Cliff! I phrased it to my wife like this, "You're stuck with me for the next ten days dear" I'm sure I will have plenty of work to do around the house. ;)
We closed up the shop at 3:00 today.

I think I need to purchase a spoon like the one your FIL just gave you. It may come in handy to keep the riff raff away. :D
