I'm going to do my best to make it, but I probably won't be buying the $2k a person package from F1 tours.
Anyone know if tickets are readily available?

2010 will be the first GP for me!
I booked the Best Western Cornwall (Ontario) the day it was announced as it is ~1hr20min away and $100/nite but they switched the dates! When I went back to change to the following week the place was all booked up solid. No way am I spending $500/nite for a hotel in Montreal. My question is this. Has anyone on here been to/stayed at Chateau Montebello, QC? I have booked it for four nights around the weekend and it seems about the same distance to Montreal. Am I crazy for driving in and out each day? I do not like the traffic in Toronto - try to avoid it when I can. I'm so excited!

Ontario plates in Quebec, when changing lane don't put your flasher on they will never let you in... Remember to tell the SQ cop "talk to me in English it's my right..." it should lower the fine. LOL, but happen to a girl from our office after she moved from Calgary... $500 worth of tickets later, she shut up. I told her she deserved another one for stupidity... don't argue with someone that carry a gun. Montebello is nice and about 90 minutes drive. How much are you paying? It's a 5 star resort. The accommodation price for that week-end usually triple for the basic hotel, ie Days Inn at $400 a night, yeah that is going to happen, I would sleep in my car instead. Did you get the Gold pass? Have fun J.J.

I'l be there with a handful of buddies driving up from Boston. We've had tickets the last few times across from the pits at the back of the grid. Decent but Not as pricey as the hairpin or under the grandstand.

For doing it on the cheap try mcgill university. They used to rent dorm rooms for $50 a night. But I've not been since 2001.
