Poll for Sys Admin or Network Ops Folks
Remember the IT Security questionnaire? Well, we at S3 are spinning out a company called, "NocPlace", which will be a place for IT pros to go to prevent network and application outages. Lots more, later. If you get all lathered up about it, I may ask if you'd like to be a private beta user--basically a free vulnerability assessment and inventory accuracy tool. We have BoA, Apple, and Whole Foods lined up for our launch in January.
But for now, I'm looking for a logo you guys like--not me. It should reflect a social aspect, secure/trust and ease of use. Which one of these do you like best? Use the number 1-10 above the design. Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays! Jack http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1293140541.jpg |
Not in that industry anymore but 7 is the only one that speaks social to me.
I can see where 6 was going but it just looks like Pac Man blowing chunks. Did Matt ever get in touch with you? |

Thanks...no, Matt has yet to get in touch. That's ok--we're probably 3-6 months away from starting the "new UI". Would still like to talk to him, though. Many thanks. |
I really don't like any of them. But, since I have to choose from this group, I'll say #7 with a modification. Invert the speech balloon so that the tail points to the right.
Let me know when you are ready to launch this thing. I just took a new gig where I am consolidation 60 data centers down to 6. |
I couldn't remember where I filled out the survey, but I was the person who won the $250 gift card! Woohoo....it was a great addition to the Christmas gift fund!
Thanks again! I will be sure to fill out any new surveys! |

Which (if any) logo do you like? |
Sorry, to answer your question.
I am NOT a fan of the one with conversation bubbles. If I want security, then the last thing I want to associate it with it is a chatty image. I would vote for no #10 . It is the most serious one. |
I agree with Paul 100% on this:

Thanks for the help, guys. Believe it or not, your input counted a lot toward our final decision.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1295402524.jpg I think it strikes a pretty good balance between biz and social--but the lead positioning is definitely the collaborative aspect, which is unique today for network ops. Here's our teaser page (NocPlace - Predict, Prevent, and Collaborate). We're launching end of this month with one, large, personal computer, tablet, and mp3 designer/distributer (guess who?). In fact, I'll be in the Valley Mon-Wed next week talking to them and a large telecom equipment manufacturer (guess who, again?). Jack |
