What happened to paper trap/skeet shells?

What happened to paper trap and skeet shells? I was just thinking about how nice and nostalgic it would be to have paper shells. I assume they no longer exist?

How would they be crimped or "closed"?

Thanks,
Tom

I've heard they are still made. This might sound weird, but I also hear they smell really nice once shot. I'd like to find out sometime.

Ah, the smell of a recently fired paper shell. One of life little pleasures. Like a fresh mimeograph....

I still shoot papershells in my 2.5" chamber guns as they were made and regulated for them and the unique patterns that an over-wad creates.

Another great thing is that the paper decomposes in the field far faster that the plastic.
