How does moose steak taste?

varmint 12-26-2010 09:33 AM

moose is lean, without the gamey quality i associate with some wild meats. recommended, but hard to describe. some here mix the moose hamburger with ground pork to give it flavor.

have let the dog out to run it off a few times now. but it keeps coming back. don't know what is so attractive about my front yard.

Moose meat can be pretty gamy if it is an old swamp donkey...
Great if it is grain fed.

Usually moose do not care to hang around humans. It might have a brain parasite (they get them from white tail deer in the area) The parasite affects their normal behavior and they start acting weird.

Keep an eye out for it.

Good luck

Last time I looked, you are not a moose, especially a male moose.
