More economic stimulation (and I just sold two basses). Ordered up a pair of basses from a one-man shop in Ohio (Skjold Guitars). Should be done around my 50th b-day in Sept. At this point just a pair of tops. This is redwood, and will be a 5-string fretless with a unline ebony fingerboard:  Here is a finished bass (slightly different body shape) from a sister hunk of wood:  This is mango, and will be a 5-string fretted with morado fingerboard:  Here is a finished one (different body shape) with mango:  Mango - who knew?
