Website templates

I used POWWEB to set up a website. I just learned there are templates, other than theirs that can be used. POWWEB has tools and templates included, but I'd like to do more than they allow.

I don't want to get involved with Wordpress, HTML, etc. because I'm disaster prone when it comes to dicking around with computers (about which I know only enough to be...disaster prone). I'm just looking for an easy drag & drop thingy that I can maintain myself.

Can I buy a template or is there a monthly charge involved? I see "free" ones advertised, but I'm skeptical that they would do any more than what I'm already able to do without buying an "upgrade".

Any advice, or am I engaging in wishful thinking?

I find any decent templates are just as much work to customize as starting from scratch.

Get a copy of iWeb.

You can use a service to develop a site for you for fairly cheap. You can go to elance.com or some similar service.

You can find very full function templates for $40.00 and under. Themeforest or Elegantthemes are two that come to mind. I think they are specifically catering to WP or Jumbla.

It might be worth your time (and what I would recommend) is developing a site that is not easily viewed by the public and expanding your skills. If it works, you can then put it someplace it is easy to find.
