I think we are going to be more and more at the mercy of FIA/WRC for these videos. They are taking tight control of their broadcasts and eventually it will be like F1 (i.e. try finding an F1 broadcast on YouTube). I'd guess most of these links not approved by WRC will disappear.

BTW: Monte Carlo starts in 4 days  Monte Carlo 2011

Did anyone already post this?...sorry if its a repost...the sounds of Group B---->

YouTube - Group B - Pure sound

...the Audi's sound most animal-like, but there's no denying the sound of a 911 (around timeline 2:26).

Michelin have posted a nicely done highlight vid of the just completed Monte Carlo Rally:

Have come across this before....but always good..... yeah, long intro ( credits)...but wait for it....

YouTube - The BEST rally video you will ever see(No music, RAW sound)

dont get me wrong, i love gruppe "b", the techno aspect was insane, as well as the courses, but if ya still yern for this kind of insanity...................well visit our lil amigos to the south. and see what a TT(trophy truck) will do for yer blood pressure!

insane horseypower, insane techno, insane/drunk/high crowds, each year a different insane course, no holds barred from the very start to the very finish.

yeah the narcos have put a hell of a crimp in the amount of gringos crossing over. but they(narcos) realize come race weekends(3) NOT to mess around with the racers for the most part, because of insane security in place.

more horsepower, more speed, crappier course, more suspension, insane gearboxes, and then throw in the weather come rain snow sleet or 122 F degree temps.

and best of all........................REAL TACOS made with REAL MEAT or FISH! CHEAP!

Even today, it is very difficult to spectate at a rally.

I've found the easiest way to spectate is to become involved! not the easiest solution for most people but its a lot of fun. i've worked lots of regional rallys and about 5 WRC Rally of New Zealands working on the start line.

this vid is a small compilation i made for my team mates in 2007.

Nice choice for background music!

Hard to get "involved" in WRC when you live in USA !!! ...( not on WRC calendar).

- looking for historical video record of all the WRC races....missing 2009 and 2010 to any meaningful degree. (Thanks to those trying to help).

The trophy truck stuff is cool, but has zero in common with stage rallying. Rally is done on public roads with street-legal vehicles.

Agreed. I just got back from SnoDrift Rally where I co-drove the Safety/Medical Sweep car. We set faster times than a few of the competitors on a couple of stages, but don't tell anyone ;)
