1:43 slot cars
I was thinking of picking up a 1:43 set for fun. I was going to buy the Carrera brand.
Any input from slot car gurus?

Since you are just starting out, a Carrera kit is a good start for not a lot of $$$ check and see if there are and slot car tracks(like a game room, but for slot weenies) in your area, check out what they are running. If you are going to the Daytona Rolex 24 Hours race, there is a slot car track not far from the track with a mini Daytona track.... Check Craigslist for tracks for sale..

I bought my 5 and 6 year old daughters a Carrera Ferrari set for Christmas. $70 toys R Us and $55 on ebay. Good quality for the money. Loop de Loop, super fast. It is a hit!

I bought my little ones the SCX brand set of 1:43 cars and it works very well. Cars only go off track at close to full speed. Very quick little cars and they are both 911 GT3 Cup Cars!!
