Want to dump AT&T, can I change my land line provider?
I have two houses on a lot, I live in the back house.
Evey time the person in the front house moves out and disconnects their phone AT&T manages to screw up my phone line. Does AT&T own the phone lines coming into my house and am I forever at the mercy of these phone Nazi's? |
We have been without internet t-1 and 5 phone lines at work due to an ATT outage. I have been told by several knowledgeable in this area that even if I change providers the signals will still come in over the same (old) copper. It sux!

I switched to Comcast a few years ago & have been very happy..

Scott--
Yes, AT&T owns the copper wires coming into your house. As Byron said, the alternative is to use your cable provider (Comcast, etc) as your phone provider as well. Its a different wire. |
