Peter Yates, the director of Bullitt, The Deep, Breaking Away, Mother Jugs and Speed and other films passed away at 81. You can find more info on him elsewhere but posting this link because of the cool car chase scenes....

And I just missed that screening of Bullitt with a Q&A w/ him and surviving cast 2 months ago because I was in MN. Damn.
