Air Hockey Tables
What is a nice one for a rec room? I have a crappy one from a local place that is a fossball table as well and the kids have beat it up quite a bit. I was thinking of getting a 'real' one. Any thoughts or experiences with any out there. I've kind-of looked around a bit and keep coming back to this one. Is this not a good one or is there a better one for same or less cash????

Get one of the good table top style hockey games!
Much more fun than air hockey.... And it takes up less space.

I wondered the same thing as the OP this past holiday season. Seemed as if the decent air hockey tables started at the $700 range, or so. There were cheaper tables at places like K-mart, but then I'd expect that they'd last as long as just about anything else purchased at K-mart.

My sister sold both types at one time at her store in Ottawa.
You could get a "bubble hockey" type game and they are really the best out there or at least were. Since, more manufacturers have jumped in the game at a lesser cost. The Super Chexx version without electronics is about $1500 plus delivery. You can even get the "miracle on ice" set at an added cost! Some of the other manufacturers are Shelti and Carrom. Check out Kijiji or Craigslist, you might get lucky!

I've looked at those Super Chexx bubble tables and almost ordered one but I think my family would actually use an actual air hockey table more often. Just because the we have a cheap air hockey and foosball table and they like the air hockey ten times over the foosball. So the bubble tables are similar to foosball in the way that it's played so that's how I decided on an air hockey table.
My budget is $1500 so if I can find a nice air hockey table for $700 and a nice bubble hockey table for $700 that would be sweet! Noah930 - What table were you looking at?

Find a place that handles arcade coin op tables and see if you can buy one. They are built to withstand a nuclear blast.

I really appreciate targa911S offer. Sorry it didn't work out. I ended up searching Craigslist and ended up getting this one that was less than a mile away and still under warranty till Dec this year. I'm really glad I didn't get an 8footer and this one just barely fit down the stairs in the basement. 7ft x 4ft.....
