Old Pontiac engine from the early 60's

Looks like it has twin cams mounted in the block. Cylinders don't appear to be cast with the block.
The Wisconsin model A engines use in FWD trucks, Nelson tractors, and the Stutz Bearcat were built like that, but they were 4s. Maybe its a 6 cylinder version of the Wisconsin A ???

One thing for sure it is NOT an airplane engine.

Pontiac was a straight 8, not a 6. (So was Buick.)

Used in a Hoff Cabin aircraft with a (Locomobile engine) NC575 serial number H-4-2 (mfg. in Chicago)

They were short on engines back then I guess!
