let's discuss great ways to eat oatmeal.

i eat it every work day for breakfast. i've tried alot of variations. steel cut oats, rolled oats. eaten with a spoonful of peanut butter. i've done the raisins and chopped pecans.
i have been mixing a tiny bit of the kid sugary oatmeals with my plain oatmeal for flavor. i have been doing this for 3-4 months. quite frankly, i'm getting bored.

any new ways? i like to pack it all to work dry, and pour in boiling water. i am not hungry right out of bed. my 45 minute commute gets my juices going and i get hungry.

any tips? i love the way it makes me feel..and certian body functions come off without a hitch. haha.

Brown sugar, butter, milk, maple syrup, any fruit/nuts.

I was on an oat kick... for a week.

Four months?

Yeah, every morning for me. Usually raisins and walnuts some times with banana. Or walnuts and blue berries.

You could add rum rasins since scotch might be frowned on at work.

Fresh fruit would work.

Haggis might be an option?

Real men free base their oatmeal! Rip the package open, down the hatch, chase liberally with water!

I wonder how sharp cheddar cheese, pecans, sliced cooked apple, raisins and cinnamon would be?

That's good in an omelette.

Do only mix from scratch.

multi grain oat meal
flaxseed
roasted almonds
rasins
cinnamon
and don't forget a dash of salt

pour hot milk on top
add fruit - a ripe banana or fresh blueberrries are best.

I have eaten this for years now - resulting in record low cholesterol. It really helps strip that stuff from your system. Also, premix a 2 week supply - fixing breakfast is easy. If you oversleep, put it in a cup and take it along the commute ...

I had some McCann's steel cut with fresh blueberries and maple syrup. I try to eat oatmeal several mornings a week. Another fave is brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins or dried-fruit/berry medley. Maybe with some low/non-fat half-and-half or milk. Or even butter if living dangerously...

I eat Oatmeal every weekday, and it could get boring if it wasn't tasty.

I buy a couple different style Granola from the Kroger here. They come in different varieties like honey, vanilla and variations thereof that all have nuts and things inside. . I pour in the 'old fashioned' oatmeal, add in a handful of the granola choice of the day, add water, and microwave for 3 minutes. Shazam, flavored oatmeal with a satisfying crunchiness that you can vary day to day. My wife flavors hers sometimes with cinnamon and nutmeg and splenda, I usually go without the extra seasonings

It's easy, quick, satisfying and healthy. Combined with a couple of soft boiled eggs it's my breakfast just about every day.
