Oil Water Separator

After using the ultrasonic cleaner to clean my guns and then soaking them in oil, I've noticed that I'm starting to accumulate some dirty water at the bottom of my pan of oil.

Is there a relatively inexpensive and/or simple way to separate the oil from water and keep the oil usable?

Distillation? That would remove the water but not the dirt

I think the gravity separator will do the trick.

Why not just take a turkey baster and draw the dirty water off the bottom?

chill it - the grease should becomes soled before the water freezes

BTW - at larger scales, this is a std. item in industrial pollution control.

if you are buddies with a car wash place that recycles their wash water, you might ask if they have something re grease

or maybe some eatery has something

This is the ultrasonic cleaner I have. It's great for cleaning guns.

There's a few more steps involved after the soaking, right?
