Ariat Boots?
The brand is new to me, but I noticed a store near my house.
What's the story on these? Good product? Durable? There web site looks interesting, and I plan to stop by the store tomorrow for some casual "western" -esque boots. I don't want to be a coboy, but I like not having to lace up my boots. I have some $90 western style Work-n-Sport steel toes for work, and they aren't bad. I just don't like that the heel is so damn high! I would take a saw to them if I thought I could do it without ruining them. The Ariat boots look promising...some without a jacked up heel. Every foot is different, but Ariat fits me like slippers. Immediate comfort. No break in time. At least that's been my experience.

My daughter and wife swear by them...they both ride horses quite a bit and also have paddock boots.
They do not, however, give them away ![]()

I'm wearing a pair of Ariats right now. My wife (an equestrienne for over 20 years--she has gone through several brands of riding and paddock boots) swears by them.
Sadly they are not made in the USA. Unfortunately I discovered this only AFTER buying this first pair that I'm wearing. They're well-engineered and designed in the USA but manufactured in China. In the future I'll be looking elsewhere. I have a pair of Double-H boots that served me well for years, but they're harder to find than Ariats.

![]() The wife already smirks when I sport my coboy yard hat when mowing... Considering my cheapo Farm and Fleet bought Work-n-Sports were about 100 bucks, I don't mind paying another $50 for comfortable boots that I can wear often...as I get older the less I want to lace up shoes or boots...my slip on loafers for the office have a lot of miles ![]() I kinda like the Ariat Rambler Square Toe boots. $149.95 MSRP isn't so bad and they don't look like I'm trying to be the Asian Coboy ![]() |

i love a pull on work boot!! downside is that the top gets droopy. your socks need to be great or they will sag into the foot. and they are horrible when walking on a rebar mat. i'm also lazy..i kick my boots off with the next foot. one socks gets grossly stained kicking off the muddy boot.
those ariats are priced very competitively. a similar redwing would be closer to $200.

Pretty common around here. I would have bought a pair but I was informed I had to buy Justins... My dads best customer has a Justin store....
My ex really loved her Ariats. |

I think I'll give them a try. I can buy them online for $130 shipped. I'll stop by the local store to see the fit and see if the store will match the online price.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Asian coboy...REEE! RAWWWW! |

Good for airports too. I hate that guy who's always ahead of me unlacing his damn shoes or boots. He could have loosen them well before he got to the table!

I was forced to buy boots when I was dating the cowgirl. Apparently it is a Faux Pas to wear hiking boots while riding horseback....

funny story. my wife and i both wore our DANNER hunting boots onto a plane. we unlaced early, and dragged our laces loose while we shuffled up the line. the lady and husband behind were rolling eyes at us. she couldnt stand it anymore, and had to say something. she said, "why dont you wear easy slip on shoes when you know you need to take off your shoes?" she was wearing trendy strappy sandals, and he had flipflops. my wife being the sweet woman she is..says.."oh, we are going hiking later, and we couldnt fit our big boots in our luggage"..I HAD TO PIPE IN. i said, "besides, should there be an "hard landing" and there is fire and broken glass, and twisted metal all over the place, we'll be able to stomp around and over you guys screaming in pain barefooted". it was awkward afterwards.

And if you want some really good boots, get them hand made in Texas. Costs about 20% more but worth ever penny.
