Home monitor using my laptop cam?
 

Got 3 laptops in the house with cams. Whats the best software or dont you even need anything special to monitor the house thru the cams? I want to view from either my iphone or work computer during the day and also need to have my wife view it also but want it secure so not just anyone can view it. All are connected thru our wifi.

I really want to see which of our cats is messing with our fish and eating our butter!

You meant you connect the webcam online and can view your house remotely? I assume you are using some kind of web application online? Can you tell me more detail on this? Cost?

OK here is the scoop. The free iphone web app didnt really work that good with my laptop cam, it was just too slow. I purchased a Cisco wireless cam mod#WVC80N you can get them for about $85 on the net but I had to have it right now so mine was more. Set it all up then you sign up for linksys domain service but I think you can use you own or use some port forwarding crap i dont understand anyhow, if you have it but its 90 days free then after that its only $19 for the year.

This thing works great, oh the iphone app to use with it was $4.99
