I bought mine from Thompsons cigars out of Florida. It came with a few nice smokes and so far has been working fine. good luck.

Don't buy one too large. It is easier to get a more constant humidity if it is kept at least half full. Almost all of the inexpensive boxes come out of China and the quality varies greatly. If you go to a store you can see how the seal is before you buy.

Tupperware does the job as well as anything else on the market as long as you do your part. You'll need some form of humidifier and a hygrometer. Throwing a few pieces of spanish cedar in wouldn't hurt either.
Rocklerwoodworking.com sells a Spanish Cedar veneer that's really good for lining DIY humidors.

I use a big tupperware storage container. It holds about a dozen or so boxes plus a container of good pipe tobacco. I use a water bottle with hydrated polymer crystals. It works like a charm. Had a cuban Monte #2 last week, perfectly hydrated and oily, quite tasty i might say. I've had that box in there for about 2 years.

Yes, those polymers. They just release moisture similarly to the credo and other devices. I use a mix of water and glycerine. The bottle is just upright and open.

If you can get your hands on a Cuaba...do it. They are great.

Dunno how big you're looking for, but at Tuesday Morning stores, they have a lotus combo pack for $60. It's a 25ct humidor, lotus light and 2 stick leather pocket case.

I use military ammo boxes.
Airtight seal makes it easy to maintain humidity.
Steel construct protects the contents.
Cost about $10.
