Verizon blackberry performance issues?
 

Hello,

I have several customers that have been having issues this week with the performance of their verizon Blackberry phones. Mostly just slow email. Is anyone else noticing this?

I speculate that verizon is making tweaks to their network to support the iPhone deluge that is coming and that this may be a side effect.

I've noticed that my email's a little slow this week(storm on Verizon), yet. Coming from Gmail/GAFE. It's lagging up to 45 minutes!

Yes! And I'm glad to hear (well sort of) that its not just mine.

Mine's dropping the 1EX data connection several times a day/hour, lagging in sync to email accounts, weaker then normal signal etc. Reminds me of my old ATT phone...

Seems to happen right after the BB goes through a periodic 'reconfiguration', which makes me believe they're messing with the network :(

I was almost going to go get a new one this weekend. (Probably wait for Feb 4th release of iPhone tho)

Hopefully this isn't an indication of things to come as they prepare for the iPhone coming online :( but I can't help but think it is related...

Yes. I have to turn off and on the wireless setting several times a day. Then I'll receive a flood of stuff. Started a couple of days ago.

My 9650 Bold crashed yesterday in a weird way. White screen and no worky. Took out battery and (very slowly) rebooted. Works OK.

My GF with a HTC calls my phone "the Slowberry". I may get an iPhone when Verizon makes it available next month.
