The equipment required to do it right isn't something your run-of-the-mill flooring sub is gonna have sitting around.

I always liked the idea of a polished color/pattern concrete surface but again, getting someone with the right equipment to come out and grind on a 400 sq. ft. residential application might be a chore - or prohibitively expensive.
