I want one of these new garage door openers...

When I get home I have to see if I can make one of these door openers. ;):D

Cool, but I'm guessing it will be very expensive in the long run. :D

Crowbob 01-26-2011 08:27 AM

I had 2 of those.

When I was a kid my dad had a remote like that for his television, and the fridge, and the lawn mower. He also had "instant messeging" cause you didn't want him to have to tell you twice!

"I've got two spares..." lol :D

Hendog 01-26-2011 08:44 AM

Now if one were built from the parts bin found in the "chest" and "panty" threads...

That is pretty funny. I have an opener for the Harley, it works with the headlight beam switch, I think it is one of the best accessories I own for the bike and I don't have to feed it!

That looks like a very expensive method to open and close a door. I will stick to my electric version.

My wife has been clamoring for me to get her one of those lately...

s_morrison57 01-26-2011 10:58 AM

Looks like high maintenance.

I suspect the reliability is very low. That stuff is probably as reliable as Lucas electronics! Moody automation is more frustrating than manual stuff at times. But it's still nice to have options.

Considering that she carries a gun at work, you might think about that!

Personally the opener above has far too much clothing on. She should be waiting inside the garage when the signal is given, then toss it open and close it once the bike is inside. She could then assist the rider with various things before returning inside and getting him a beer and BJ as was intended years ago! :)

Looks a lot more expensive than the Clapper.

Got to start the training early.... by the time they get to my age there just not as trainable...

That's pretty funny. High maintenance in deed!

And it could give you the clapper.

Just what I was thinking.

A bit off topic, but what a MISERABLE excuse of a garage! WTF can you fit in there? This is exactly why you can't live in Europe unless you are very wealthy. Even the floor isn't flat between the "garage" and the front door.
